Since 2024, Vectorworks has only offered ABO instead of perpetual licenses in German-speaking countries.
ABOs can be purchased monthly or annually.

We take a critical view of this development. For our main target groups, i.e. carpenters, shop, trade fair and interior designers, the ElementsCAD module is the tool that delivers the decisive increase in productivity.
Vectorworks – Perpetual licenses available from us
We still offer our customers perpetual licenses for ElementsCAD AND Vectorworks.
How is this possible?
In German-speaking countries, a large number of current permanent licenses such as Vectorworks 2026 are in use. The reason is that many customers have an update contract (VSS) for the perpetual license they bought at the time.
If such licenses are no longer in use (e.g. due to business liquidation, retirement, etc.), such licenses will be accepted and re-registered by us.
In addition to new licenses, we often also have inexpensive, older licenses in stock.
In addition to German-language Vectorworks perpetual licenses, we also receive English-language perpetual licenses again and again.
Vectorworks – Perpetual License Pricing
The Vectorworks licenses in question are usually offered together with the interior add-on ElementsCAD Basic / Pro .
Which Vectorworks version is the best choice for you also depends on your system requirements. Newer versions usually require more performance, but the operating system is also important. While Vectorworks is compatible for Windows 11 from version 2021, the time span for current macOS is usually only about 2 years of backward compatibility.
ElementsCAD – compatible with Vectorworks from version 2014
As is well known, ElementsCAD requires Vectorworks as an engine.
Vectorworks, on the other hand, accounts for the majority of the total costs, if you take a closer look at the license prices.
For this reason, we offer the possibility to install ElementsCAD on older versions of Vectorworks as well. An internal update function in the ElementsCAD menu keeps you up to date.
This also has the advantage that older Vectorworks versions often have lower system requirements, as already mentioned at the beginning.
